Important: read before using Wx
Wx is not an official weather briefing and is not approved by the FAA or any other aviation authority.
It is an experimental, personal planning aid only.
- Weather data comes from third parties (NOAA/NWS, aviationweather.gov, Open-Meteo, AWS terrain tiles, FAA charts)
and may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, delayed, or unavailable without notice.
- Clouds, icing, turbulence, mountain wave, freezing level, winds, ETAs, fuel and altitude recommendations are
computer-generated estimates from forecast models and simple rules. They can be wrong, sometimes badly.
- Terrain data and clearance checks are approximate. They are not a substitute for charts, minimum en route
altitudes, obstacle data, departure/arrival procedures, or ATC instructions.
- Do not use Wx as your sole or primary source of weather information. Before every flight, obtain an official
weather briefing (for example from 1800wxbrief.com or an FAA-approved provider) and review all available
information, as required by 14 CFR 91.103.
- The pilot in command is directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of the
aircraft (14 CFR 91.3), including all go/no-go, routing and altitude decisions.
Wx is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. By using it you accept all risk
arising from its use, and agree that its authors and operators are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or
death resulting from use of, or reliance on, the information it provides.
Your acceptance is remembered on this device for 30 days.
